Abstract

Angular distributions of ions passing through thin amorphous foils are calculated by means of a Monte Carlo method and of analytical multiple scattering theories. For the scattering potential a screened Coulomb potential is taken. The results of the different multiple scattering computations are compared with each other and with experimental angular distributions.
