Abstract
- In this paper, comparative analysis between the profits of three reliability models of a building cable manufacturing plant is carried out. To facilitate the analysis, real maintenance data of the plant are collected. Three case specific reliability models of the plant are developed. Semi-Markov processes and regenerative point techniques are used to estimate optimized reliability indices of the plant; such as; mean time to plant failure, plant availability, expected number of plant repairs, expected busy period of the repairman and profit incurred to the plant. Comparison between the profits is demonstrated through graphical analysis.
