Abstract
- In this paper, we report the preparation of an inorganic–organic nanocomposite, obtained by the in situ oxidative polymerization of pyrrole inside the layers of α-Sn(HPO 4 ) 2 ·H 2 O (α-SnP). The polymerization was carried out by Cu 2+ ions, previously incorporated in the α-SnP structure, by an ion-exchange process. The Cu 2+ exchanged materials and the nanocomposites obtained after pyrrole polymerization were characterized by XRD, FTIR, UV-Vis, Raman and EPR spectroscopy. The characterization results suggest the formation of polymer chains between the α-SnP layers.
