Abstract

Maintaining maternal and fetal health is an important challenge in modern healthcare worldwide. Longterm passive monitoring will allow monitoring the condition of the mother and fetus for a long time, which will increase the effectiveness of medical support for a pregnant woman. The motor activity of the fetus is an important marker of its condition and the level of its nervous development. Also, the signal of fetal motor activity can be effectively recorded by passive recorders, which is critically important when organizing a passive monitoring system. The aim of this work is to analyze the applicability of passive recorders (accelerometers and gyroscopes) for recording a signal of fetal motor activity. To improve the accuracy of the analysis of fetal activity, the paper proposes an algorithm for automatic detection of episodes of fetal activity.
