Abstract: YPM had an acute toxic effect on BALB/c mice, which was dependent on the presence of T cells and correlated with the elevation of serum IFN-gamma. One monoclonal antibody (YSA8E3) rescued BALB/c mice from development of toxic shock after YPM injection.
