Cleavage of Supercoiled Plasmid DNA by Phenanthroline–Polyamine Conjugates as a Metal-free Artificial Nuclease

In this study, phenanthroline–polyamine conjugates have been synthesized. The conjugates bind to DNA and hydrolyze it in the absence of any metal and reducing agent under physiological conditions.
