Abstract

Ceramic tribo-coating continues to be one of the major research areas in tribology, especially in relation to recent developments in smart structured devices and micro-electro mechanical systems (MEMS), as well as for their use in advanced machines operating in extreme or hostile environments. This paper is a report on current state-of-the-art topics in ceramic tribe-coatings that the authors have interest in and for which they believe further focus in required.
