Abstract
- Photoluminescence spectra of CuCl quantum dots and their corresponding decay times have been measured under an external magnetic field in Voigt geometry. Magnetic-field induced mixing between the singlet and triplet excitons was evaluated by studying the magnetic field dependencies of their decay times. A bound exciton shows a larger degree of mixing than that of a free exciton. In addition, the degree of mixing of the bound exciton increases on decreasing the dot size. It is suggested that the enhancement in the degree of mixing is induced by an increase in the value in the exciton g-factor due to the symmetry breaking of the wavefunction of the bound exciton.
