Abstract
- Three porous carbons were prepared by using citric acid and sucrose as carbon source, and then the AgBrO3/AgBr nanoparticles were loaded on the porous carbon by using the impregnation-precipitation method. Multi-analysis technologies were used to investigate the structures, morphologies and elements chemical states of the as-prepared samples. Rhodamine B solution was used as wastewater model to evaluate the adsorption capacity and photocatalytic activity of the hybrids. It was found that the citric acid concentration affect the number of reducing groups on porous carbon, thus affecting the structures and composition of the AgBrO3/AgBr photocatalysts. The AgBrO3/AgBr/porous carbon hybrid exhibits significant enhancements in adsorption and photocatalytic performances.
