Abstract

An electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) was used to in situ reveal the deposition/dissolution chemistry of MnO2 in aqueous electrolytes, which proceeds by a pH-dependent Mn(iii) (MnOOH and/or Mn3+)-mediated path.
