Abstract
- The low dimensional inorganic–organic (IO) hybrid semiconductors become a fascinating subject of interest due to their unique crystal structural packing and tunable optical exciton emission features. These naturally self-assembled 2D IO hybrid semiconductors form multiple quantum wells (MQWs) like structure due to the quantum widths of both organic moiety and inorganic network , enabling them to show stable room temperature Mott-type excitons with large exciton binding energy. A systematic co-existence of two kinds of excitons observable from one-(ħω ≥ Eg) and two-photon (2ħω ≥ Eg) excitations is studied to probe into deeper details of sensitive structural changes in the IO-hybrids thin film and single crystals.
