Hip Region Injections

Hip disorders often masquerade as lumbar pathology. Patients with hip issues may present with similar complaints as those with lumbar radiculopathy. It is important to consider the femoro-acetabular joint, the myriad of bursae around the gluteal tendons and greater trochanter, and the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve as pain generators in the differential diagnosis of patients presenting with back or “hip” pain.
