Light-emitting diode arrays for photoradiation therapy

The use of arrays of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is proposed for hematoporphrin-besed therapy of tumor cells. Such arrays can be assembled from unencapsulated, commercially available, LED chips to provide power densities sufficient for therapy.
