A 'running-average' anemograph

Abstract

An anemograph is described which automatically produces the running average of both the wind speed and the wind direction. A wide angular range is always available for fluctuations on both sides of the mean wind direction. The instrument is intended for use in research as well as in routine work on atmospheric diffusion and air pollution.
