Abstract: The reaction of aryl- and vinylmercurials, cupric chloride, 5% aqueous NH4Cl, oxygen, catalytic amounts of Li2pPdCl4 and vinylic oxetanes affords an excellent route to functionally-substituted homoallylic alcohols.
