Abstract

Este artigo busca uma critica a educacao ambiental concernente ao seu campo etimologico, revendo seu paradigma epistemologico. O objetivo deste estudo e demonstrar que quando se atua na praxis da educacao formal, que considera as questoes sociais, culturais e ambientais em que o individuo esta inserido, o mesmo deve atuar, transformando o ambiente de forma responsavel. A metodologia aplicada foi a revisao bibliografica e analise documental. Como resultado, a pesquisa demonstrou que, de fato, nao se justifica a utilizacao isolada do termo educacao ambiental, uma vez que sua essencia esta inserida na educacao formal. The aim of this study is to demonstrate that when it acts one praxis of formal education, which considers the social, cultural and environmental issues in which the individual is inserted, the same must act, transforming the environment responsibly. The methodology was applied to the literature review and documentary analysis. As a result, the research showed that, in fact, there is no justification for the use of the term environmental education isolated, once your essence is embedded in formal education.
