- To the Editor: We read with interest the report of Barned et al [1] concerning the frequency of antinuclear antibodies (ANA) in multiple sclerosis. The authors conducted a retrospective review of 563 charts and examined the results of serologic testing, if obtained (34.7% of relapsing-remitting and 17.7% of chronic progressive patients were so tested).
