Abstract
- In this paper, the extended BIFS (Binary Format for Scene) of MPEG (Moving Picture Experts Group)-4 is proposed for augmented stereoscopic video. BIFS is a scene graph for MPEG-4, and is based on VRML (Virtual Reality Markup Language). ASV (augmented stereoscopic video) is thought as an off-line AR (augmented reality). Thus, there are some mismatch problems when augmented stereoscopic video presents in BIFS. In AR, the registration is a key technology. BIFS does not support that. We introduce a registration mechanism to BIFS. Also, in this paper new nodes are proposed for stereoscopic and camera information stream.
