Abstract
- We propose a method of trapping micro-particles with microfiber enhanced by Sagnac interferometer. The microfiber waist diameter is 2.24µm. It is single mode fiber and has relatively large evanescent wave when it works in the water based suspension with wave length of 1550nm. The amplitude of the stationary wave formed in Sagnac interferometer is enhanced. The particles trapping ability with the crest of the stationary wave is increased either. This particles trapping experiment is carried out with light power of about milli-watt and 1µm polystyrene microsphere. Micro-particles could be trapped in a quasi-static state.
