Abstract
- 2.4 GHz band is going to be congested in the aircraft, hence wireless systems using this band are highly susceptible to interference. The deployment of a wireless transmitting system using another frequency band in an aircraft cabin is investigated. The system operates at 60 GHz band with 2.16 GHz bandwidth for each channel and thus it is capable of very high throughput. Directional transmitting antennas are designed and beamforming technologies are employed, which further reduces the inference among neighboring networks.
