The article discusses options for the implementation of interactive moves (techniques) at each of the three stages of the IRE (IRF) educational model. These stages include the initiation of interaction by the teacher, the student���s response and the teacher���s evaluating feedback. The procedural modification of these stages allows us to analyze them as strategies for engaging in interaction, maintaining interaction and completing interaction. The analysis is carried out taking into account the achievements of the theory of multimodality, that is, taking into account verbal and nonverbal modes of interaction. Multimodal analysis contributes to a more comprehensive description of educational interaction, and also helps to establish the most effective techniques for organizing interactive learning. The study is carried out on the material of foreign language classes at the university. In the future, the research aims to create a bank of methodological techniques for organizing situational learning.
