The Efficacy of 3,5-Diiodo-3’-Chloro-4’-(p-Chlorophcnoxy)-Salicylanilide against Immature Fasciola hepatica in Sheep

SUMMARY A new anthelmintic, 1,5-diiodo-3’-chlro-4’-(p-chlorophenoxy)-salicylanilide, was virtually 100% effective in killing; immature (6-week-old) Fasciola hepatica in sheep, when given orally at a dosage of 10–15 mg./kg. No toxic effects were observed in the treated animals. The potency of the compound was markedly affected by the type of formulation used.
