Abstract

OBJECTIVES: Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) occurs in patients with recurrent or chronic pulmonary embolism, and is a rare but potentially devastating disease in adolescents and young adults. Pulmonary thromboendarterectomy (PTE) is an important curative therapy for patients with CTEPH.
