CBA Self-compacting Concrete Exposed to Water Curing

The application of self-compacting concrete is recognized as a sustainable strategy for achieving high workability and improved durability. However, aggressive chemical ions would have a negative effect on the performance of self-compacting concrete. In harsh environments, the combination of self-compacting concrete and coal bottom ash could offer potential advantages of durability for concrete structures. In the present chapter, a detailed background of self-compacting concrete exposed to tap water is provided. An in-depth insight into the impact and extent to which the coal bottom ash could enhance both the fresh and hardened properties of SCC-BA exposed to normal water curing.
