Recent progress on high-brightness kW-class direct diode lasers

Abstract: TeraDiode is manufacturing multi-kW-class ultra-high brightness fiber-coupled direct diode lasers for industrial applications. Our TeraBlade industrial platform achieves world-record brightness levels for direct diode lasers. The laser output has a Beam Parameter Product (BPP) of 4 mm-mrad. This 4-kW fiber-coupled direct diode laser has a comparable BPP to industrial fiber and solid state lasers used for cutting and welding processes.
