Platelet adhesion on polycarbonate: Changes due to l-ascorbic acid

Abstract

The platelet adhesion test using washed human platelets was employed to assess the affinity of bare polycarbonate surface as well as fibrinogen-induced platelet adhesion in the presence of l -ascorbic acid. The role of l -ascorbic acid to reduce the adhering platelets on the surface was discussed.
