Abstract

We covered a lot in the previous chapter: the installation of Mac OS X Server 10.6, the initial configuration of Mac OS X Server 10.6, some rather strange things like Open Directory and DNS, and the basics of user management and file sharing management. In this chapter, we’ll go deeper into file sharing, since that’s one of the basic things a server does: share files to users. We’ll start by covering the utilities you use to manage file sharing and users in Mac OS X Server 10.6, and then we’ll cover how to use them to go beyond the basics.
