Abstract
- A number of years ago Wiener [J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 19, 143–146 (1947)] published a paper on head diffraction; however, his data were limited to 6000 cps and did not include interaural delays. The present set of measurement extends to 10 000 cps, includes interaural delays, and covers a larger number of angles of incidence than explored by Wiener. The results can be applied to the design of high‐quality earphones and to development of directional perception apparatus.
