Treatment of erectile failure and ejaculatory incompetence of homosexual etiology

The treatment of a case of impotence related to homosexual orientation is described. In addition to the usual anxiety reduction procedures an arousal reconditioning procedure was employed. The latter consisted of introducing heterosexual stimuli at chosen times in the arousal induced by homosexual fantasies during masturbation and also during heterosexual activity. The homosexual arousal was later phased out of the treatment.
