Solubility: soluble in water. Form Supplied in: generated in situ and used crude after concentration. Contains H3PO2 and/or (HOCH2)2P(O)OH as impurities. Handling, Storage, and Precautions: H-phosphinic acids can disproportionate thermally to form phosphines, so excessive heating must be avoided. Use in a fume hood.
