Charged particle reactions from 7Li + p at 30 MeV

Abstract

Charged-particle reactions resulting from the bombardment of thin isotopic 7Li targets have been studied at an incident proton energy of 30.3 MeV. Differential cross sections have been obtained for the (p, d) reaction to the ground state and first two excited states of 6Li and for the (p, t), (p, 3He) and (p, α) reactions to the ground states of the respective residual nuclei. A DWBA analysis has been used to fit the (p, d) experimental data, and relative spectroscopic factors have been extracted. The 7Li(p, pd)5He angular correlation has been studied; the results were compared with those obtained for the 6Li(p, pd)4He reaction at the same energy.
