Abstract
- Tantalum L X-ray spectra were recorded in coincidence with KLL Auger electrons emitted in the decay of 181W. The Chalk River [Formula: see text] spectrometer was used to select individual KLL peaks. The measured X-ray fluorescence yields for five different double-L vacancy states are in agreement with theoretical values derived on the assumption that for Ta, spectator vacancies have negligible effect on the de-excitation of their partners.
