Abstract
- Pediatric transplant infectious disease (PTID) is a growing area of clinical practice in pediatric infectious disease practice that faces challenges in education and training of practitioners: • Variable numbers and types of cases at different clinical centers, resulting in overall lack of experience • Relative paucity of diagnostic and randomized therapeutic trials, resulting in weak evidence base on which to base management guidelines
