Abstract
- Due to many classical numerical methods have not yet mature quantum counterparts, the quantum circuits design for quantum image processing is very important. In this paper, using the novel enhanced quantum image representation (NEQR) model and the crossing number (CN) minutiae detection method, quantum circuits for fingerprint minutiae extraction are designed, which is focus on extracting ridge endings and ridge bifurcations from thinned binary fingerprint image. In order to improve the performance of the whole system, the quantum circuits for detection and elimination the false minutiae among the extracted minutiae are also constructed.
