Abstract

On the bases of the principle of pseudo-range measurement in navigation and positioning, this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the measurement principle of GPS receiver’s received time and transmission time, and proposed a fast hot-start algorithm of GPS receiver. After cold-start, the receiver has recorded the received time, general location, ephemeris, and pseudo-range of the satellites. After hot start, once the satellites with recorded ephemeris go into the tracking state, the current time and satellite transmission time can be reconstructed according to the recorded message, so that we can obtain the pseudo-range between the satellites and receiver‘s general location in the present moment. Then with correct positioning results through the Least Square method, high precision and rapid positioning will finally be realized.
