Ion flux equilibrium states in a near-cathode double layer of collisionless plasma

The plane-parallel flow of the collisionless ion flux integrally neutralized by Boltzmann electrons is considered. It is shown that there is a rigid unique relation between the velocity and current density in the quasi-neutral region on the collector, which defines equilibrium conditions of the near-cathode double layer.
