Abstract
- Ways to increase the effectiveness of nephrostomy tube sanitation for preventing undesirable effects of external drainage (in particular, encrustation) were studied. A method for invasive ultrasound treatment was proposed. A technique for sanitation of ureteral stents was also developed. Ultrasound treatment of an ureteral stent was shown to be an effective and safe way of reducing salt obstruction. It can be recommended for use as a part of treatment aimed at preventing obstructive pyelonephritis.
