Abstract

In this paper Ambassador Romano reflects on the principal changes that have occurred in the orientation of Italian foreign policy (the alliance with the USA, relations with Europe, Russia, the Balkans, the Middle East) over the past decade, assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of the innovations made during the Berlusconi governments.
