Abstract
- Reaction zone is observed between amphibolite and gneiss. It is about 16cm in width. Chemical compositions of plagioclases and biotites vary gradually from amphibolite to gneiss. The rate process of the formation of the reaction zone is not the diffusional process of K+, Ca++ and Mg++. Basic reaction is the formation of biotite in amphibolite, and K+, Mg++ and Al+++ of biotite are mainly derived from K-feldspar, actinolite and anorthite respectively.
