Abstract
- In order to study the damping characteristics of valve-controlled shock absorber. According to the heat generation and dissipation process, the thermal balance model of the shock absorber was established from the perspective of energy conservation. The damping curves of the shock absorber at four impact velocities were obtained on the basis of experiments. By comparison, it is found that the difference value of the thermal decay rate hits its peak which is the result of mechanical friction at low speed. Meanwhile, the experimental results demonstrate that the indicator diagram is relatively full without obvious distortion. Finally, the study indicates that the shock absorber still has great vibration damping characteristics after thermal decay.
