Abstract
- The temperature evolution of singly and doubly charged krypton ions in current sheets formed in magnetic fields with an X-line is studied. The electron temperature is determined; it is shown to be lower than the ion temperature by an order of magnitude, which points to different heating mechanisms of ion and electron components of current sheet plasma.
