Abstract

We reportpilot fMRIdata on brainactivityin humanmotherslistening to a cryingbaby. Since animal data suggestthat maternalbehavioris impairedby cingolateablations,we hypothesizedthat motherswould have cingulateactivation,especiallyanteriorly,with this provocation.
