The importance of differentiating between the lesions which represent end results, e.g., calcification of ligaments and those which are part of an active process, e.g., osteochondritis desiccans, are emphasised. 3. A case of Panner's Disease and a march fracture of the neck of the femur are described. 4. The frequency of these lesions in young adults is emphasised.
