Performance under evaluation: the cases of social class and gender

In this study, we examine whether there are gender/class differences in the performance of participants depending on whether they are informed beforehand that their performance score and demographic characteristics will be known to an evaluator who will compare them to the scores and characteristics of others, and use this information to decide which participant is better.
