Infinite hierarchy of solitons: Interaction of Kerr nonlinearity with even orders of dispersion

The authors demonstrate the existence of optical solitons arising from the balance between self-phase modulation and negative, pure, even high-order dispersion using a fiber laser incorporating a spectral pulse shaper.
