Abstract

A generic model for complex time-critical control systems where reactive and transformational aspects are simultaneously encountered is briefly presented. This model is executed on several processors in order to satisfy the time constraints. The paper discusses the development of a suitable communication mechanism allowing the execution of this model on a shared-memory multiprocessor hardware architecture. The mechanism is based on two different semantics of communication. The first one related to the sending of commands uses buffers. The second one related to the reading of state information uses direct access in shared memory. This communication mechanism has minimal latencies.
