New Indocyanine Derivatives for the Synthesis of Fluorescently Labeled Oligonucleotides

New sulfonated Cy3 and Cy5 phosphoramidites and solid supports were synthesized. These building blocks were used in the synthesis of terminally or internally labeled oligodeoxynucleotides. Mild deprotection schemes were ap- plied to the sulfocyanine-labeled oligonucleotides.
