Abstract
- Summary Microfluidic tools and technologies offer an engineering methodology for the bottom-up synthesis of artificial cells. Herein, we discuss how droplet-based microfluidic systems may be used for artificial cell and tissue synthesis. In addition, we point out some of the latest developments in the field of microfluidics that have potential use in bottom-up synthetic biology.
