Type material Holotype ♂ on slide (COLLE 046/INPA): Brazil, São Paulo, São Luiz do Paraitinga municipality, State Park of “Serra do Mar”, 23°19’27.1”S, 45°05’38.4”W, Atlantic Forest, 1012 m, 22.ix.2010, Malaise-trap, NW Perioto & team coll. Paratypes on slides (COLLE 046A-E/INPA): 5 ♀ and 11 in alcohol, same data as holotype. Description Total length (head + trunk) of holotype 2.08 mm. Specimens pale white with dark blue pigments on Ant I–IV, strongly on anterior head, intersegmental areas of antenna, posterior and laterally on Th III–Abd II; irregular blue spots on the Abd III–V; inner side of legs with a distal spot on femora and two spots in tibiotarsi (one basal and one subapical). Eyepatches black (Figure 9G). Head. Ant I dorsally with 7 mac and 6 basal spiny smooth mic (Figure 10G) Posterior labial chaetotaxy series ‘CG’ with 7 ciliate chaetae (CG 1–2, CG 3e, CG 4, CG 6– 7) and 4 smooth mic (CG 3, CG 5–5e, CG 7e); series ‘PLM’ with 2 ciliate chaetae (PLM 1–2); series ‘PLE’ with 2 ciliate chaetae (PLE 1–2); lateral side with about 26 ciliate chaetae (Figure 11G). Dorsal chaetotaxy. Th II with 1 ‘m’ mac (m7) and 1 ‘p’ mac (p3). Th III with 1 ‘m’ mac (m7), and 2 ‘p’ mac (p2–3) (Figure 12G). Abd I with 2 ‘p’ mac (m3, m4) (Figure 13G). Abd III with 1 ‘m’ mac (pm6), and 1 ‘p’ mac (p6) (Figure 14C). Abd IV with 5–6 ‘A’ mac (A1, A3–A6), A3p present or absent; 1 ‘Ae’ mac (Ae1); 3 ‘B’ mac (B3–5); 1 ‘Be’ mac (Be1); 1 ‘C’ mac (C1); 4 ‘E’ mac (E1-4); 3 ‘F’ mac (F1–F3); 2 ‘Fe’ mac (Fe1–2); posterior side with 3 sens type IV (ps and two unnamed) (Figure 14F). Abd V with 3 ‘a’ mac (a0, a3, a5), a3 present or absent; 3 ‘m’ mac (m2–3, m5); and 1 ‘p’ mac (p4) (Figure 15F). Appendages. Trochanteral organ with 13 smooth spine-like chaetae (Figure 16G). Collophore anterior side with 3 subapical mac of equal length and 10 proximal smooth mic; posterior side with 1 apical and 3 subapical smooth chaetae; lateral flap formula 5(s), 6/4(m), 5(i) smooth chaetae, 1 median and 4 inferior larger (Figure 18D). Manubrial plate with 2 chaetae (Figure 19C). Mucro with 3 teeth (d1, ap, v1) (Figure 19I). Etymology Refers to locality where the species was found, “Serra do Mar” (Sea Mountain Range) in São Paulo state, Brazil. Remarks See remarks of S. brasiliana sp.n. and S. hamadae sp.n.
