ChemInform Abstract: Enantioselective Addition of Diethylzinc to Benzaldehyde in the Presence of Sulfur-Containing Pyridine Ligands

Diastereomerically pure hydroxy and thiol derivatives of (5 S ,7 S )-5,7-methane-6,6-dimethyl-2-phenyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydroquinoline were prepared and assessed in the enantioselective addition of diethylzinc to benzaldehyde: enantioselectivities up to 62% were obtained.
